1. How to request deletion

You can request deletion of your Sort My Legacy account in either of these ways:

• In the app: sign in and go to Settings→ "Request account deletion."
• By email: email us from your registered email address using the Legal entity and compliance contactbelow, with the subject "Delete my account."

We verify that the request comes from the account owner (for example, that it is sent from the registered email address) before processing, to protect your data from unauthorized deletion.

2. What gets deleted

When your deletion request is processed, we permanently delete the personal data held in your account, including:

• Your profile and account details (name, email, mobile, and any identification details you provided)
• Your financial inventory, will drafts, and document metadata
• Uploaded documents and files
• Family member and access-control details you added
• Health information you entered (medical directives and emergency card)
• Legacy messages you created
• Your encrypted password-vault entries

3. What we may retain

We may retain a limited amount of data where the law requires it (for example, transaction and tax records), or where necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Such data is kept only for as long as legally required and is then deleted or anonymized. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. How long it takes

After we verify your request, your account is deactivated and your data is deleted or anonymized within our retention schedule — typically within 30 to 90 days, except where a longer period is required by law. Note that subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play must also be cancelled in your Apple or Google account settings; deleting your Sort My Legacy account does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription.
