1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using sortmylegacy.com ("Site") and the Sort My Legacy platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") with Nexivara, a sole proprietorship of Karan Bindal registered under GST (GSTIN 08AWPPB6630G2ZH), which operates the Service in India. The Sort My Legacy platform is owned by Nexivara; Bindal Infotech, Nexivara's IT vertical, builds and runs the technology. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

Sort My Legacy is a digital death planning platform that helps families document, organize, and plan for the secure transfer of financial, legal, and digital assets. The Service includes: self-assessment quiz, financial inventory, will builder, document storage, family access controls, medical directives, action plan, legacy messages (delivered after a confirmed death, or on a date you choose), life timeline, emergency access (72-hour request flow), check-in reminder (inactivity alerts), two-factor authentication, and related tools. We do not provide legal, tax, or financial advice.

3. Account and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service is available internationally, but please note an important limit: our will drafting feature produces drafts grounded in Indian succession law and is currently offered only to users in India. If you are outside India, the will builder is disabled for your account and we will not generate a draft, every other feature (asset inventory, document vault, family and executor access, digital legacy, and the after-a-death handover) is available to you and is not jurisdiction-specific. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, for providing accurate information, and for notifying us of any unauthorized access.

4. Subscription and Payment

Certain features require a paid subscription (Basic, Premium, Complex Estate). Fees are in Indian Rupees (₹); you may choose monthly or annual billing. On the website, payment is processed via Razorpay, which offers cards, UPI, and net banking where available; we never see your full card number (for purchases in our mobile app, see section 4b). Prices on our website are in Indian rupees and include 18% GST: the price you see is the full amount you pay. Every website payment gets a GST tax invoice from Nexivara, which you can view and download in Settings → Billing. Website payments are collected through Razorpay by Bindal Infotech, Nexivara's IT vertical, so your bank or card statement may show Bindal Infotech. Payments made before 9 October 2026 were invoiced by Bindal Infotech, which was not registered under GST, without GST. You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless applicable law requires otherwise. All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, except where we made a billing mistake (for example, charging you twice or the wrong amount); see our Refunds & Cancellation Policyfor details. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.

4a. Digital-Only Service (No Physical Shipping)

Sort My Legacy is a fully digital platform. We do not ship any physical products. All features (quiz, inventory, will builder, document storage, family access, and related tools) are delivered online. Access is provided immediately upon subscription activation. There are no delivery delays or shipping charges.

4b. In-App Purchases (Apple App Store / Google Play)

If you subscribe through our mobile app, your purchase may be processed by the Apple App Store or Google Playinstead of Razorpay. Those purchases are billed by, and subject to the terms and policies of, the respective app store. You manage, renew, or cancel such subscriptions through your Apple or Google account's subscription settings, not through Settings → Billing. Any refund for an app-store purchase is handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies; our no-refund policy in section 4 above applies to purchases billed directly by us via Razorpay.

Outside India: website prices are in Indian rupees and include Indian GST, and website checkout is meant for customers in India. If you live elsewhere, subscribe in our iPhone app: the App Store shows your local price, collects any local tax and handles refunds. Consumers in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland who buy on our website keep their 14-day right to cancel (see our Refunds & Cancellation Policy).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Share account access or credentials with unauthorized persons
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without permission

6. Intellectual Property

Sort My Legacy and its content, design, logos, and materials are owned by Nexivara or its licensors. You retain ownership of data you upload. You grant us a limited license to process and store your data to provide the Service. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our Service without written permission.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Will builder: Produces drafts only. Legal review by a qualified lawyer is strongly recommended before execution. We do not provide legal advice.

Medical directives: For guidance only. Consult healthcare providers and legal counsel for binding documents. We do not provide medical or legal advice.

Financial inventory: For documentation purposes. We do not provide tax, investment, or financial advice. Consult a CA or financial advisor for your specific situation.

We are not responsible for decisions you make based on the Service. Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client, doctor-patient, or advisor-client relationship.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nexivara (Sort My Legacy), its affiliates, and officers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; your rights may vary.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nexivara (Sort My Legacy), its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or for any reason with notice. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account in Settings (see Account & Data Deletion), or by contacting us using the details at the end of this page or the contact page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We may retain data as required by law or our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India. Where you use the Service as a consumer resident in another country, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, nor of the right to bring proceedings there where local law gives you that right. We encourage you to contact us first, most issues are resolved far faster that way.

12. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, email our Grievance Officer using the details in Who we are, customer care and grievances below. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it, as required by law. That section also explains where else you can go if you are not satisfied.
