Guide

Will Builder

Create a legally valid will draft with guided templates. Built for Indian succession law.

What is it?

The Will Builder is an 8-step guided flow that helps you create a will draft. It covers everything: who you are, who your family is, what you own, who gets what, who will execute your wishes (your executor), and guardians for minors if you have children.

The output is a draft you can review, edit, and—when you're ready—get signed in front of witnesses. We use templates aligned with Indian succession law (Indian Succession Act, Hindu Succession Act).

Why does it matter?

A will is the legal document that says who gets what when you're gone. Without it, your assets go to legal heirs by default, which may not match your wishes. A will gives you control.

Many people assume wills are only for the wealthy. They're not. If you have a bank account, a home, or investments, a will helps your family avoid disputes and delays.

How to use it

Work through the steps in order. Each step has tooltips and hints. You can save and come back anytime. Your draft is stored securely.

When you're done, you'll get a draft. For simple estates, many people sign it with witnesses. For complex estates—businesses, multiple properties, blended families—we recommend a lawyer review before signing.

Tips

Choose an executor you trust. They'll be responsible for carrying out your wishes. Talk to them first.

If you have minor children, name guardians. This is one of the most important decisions you can make.

Update your will when life changes: marriage, divorce, new children, new assets.
